Megapetrol, a prominent name in the petroleum distribution industry, partnered with our team to reinvent its digital footprint through a complete overhaul of its corporate website. The objective was clear: modernize the user experience, elevate the brand presence, and streamline access to essential services such as fuel station locators, corporate information, and sustainability initiatives. The old website lacked visual appeal, mobile responsiveness, and was not aligned with the company’s current scale of operations, which spans multiple countries across Latin America and Europe. We began by conducting in-depth stakeholder interviews and analyzing the behavior of users across various touchpoints to determine pain points and opportunities. The research revealed that users had difficulty finding station locations and real-time fuel prices, and that the investor section was outdated and hard to navigate. Our UX team mapped a new, intuitive site architecture, prioritizing ease of access to high-traffic pages like “Find a Station,” “Fuel Prices,” and “Sustainability.”
The user interface was completely redesigned with a clean, professional layout using Megapetrol’s signature colors—deep blue, energy orange, and vibrant white—supported by high-quality visuals of fueling operations, logistics fleets, and real employees in the field, giving the site a human and authentic appeal. We built an interactive station locator using Google Maps API, enabling users to search and filter stations based on region, fuel type, and additional services like EV charging or convenience stores. One of the biggest technical achievements was the integration of a real-time fuel pricing module powered by a custom-built API, which pulls region-specific data hourly, ensuring up-to-date pricing at every listed location. In addition to a seamless browsing experience across all devices, the site included multilingual support (English, Spanish, Portuguese) to cater to Megapetrol’s international audience. We also created a private Investor Relations portal with downloadable financial reports, press kits, and board meeting summaries.
Our developers implemented advanced SEO strategies using schema markup, optimized meta data, and performance enhancements like lazy loading, CDN integration, and compressed assets for faster loading speeds, resulting in a 92% performance score on Google Lighthouse. Post-launch metrics indicated a 78% increase in website traffic, a 54% rise in business inquiries, and a 62% jump in user engagement on the fuel station locator page, proving the redesign successfully addressed both functional and brand goals. Internally, the new CMS allowed Megapetrol’s marketing and operations teams to update content easily, launch seasonal campaigns, and manage localized announcements without technical assistance. The project, completed in just under 10 weeks, not only gave Megapetrol a future-ready digital platform but also reinforced its position as a leader in clean, efficient, and customer-focused fueling services.
